Mid-A Points
2024 Junior National Qualification Schedule
Athletes will need to compete in 3 out of the 6 qualifying races. Athletes must use 1 classic and 1 skate result to make up their 3 race average. Athletes can compete in all 6 races but an athletes ranking will be based on top 3 results in any combination but as stated above at minimum 1 result from each technique must be used.
Athletes, Coaches, and Parents
First off, thank you for participating in the 2024 Mid-Atlantic Junior National Qualifying race series.
These races are used to qualify for the Junior National Team, Eastern High School Championship, and NENSA U16 Championship.
The final points list has been posted at www.midaxc.com. Athletes who are highlighted in GREEN have qualified for the Junior National Team. The Mid-A committee made the decision to increase the points threshold in the U18/U20 Men's and Women's field from 300 to 325.
The movement in points was related to the number of athletes carrying Mid-A and USSS points into the season as well as the increased penalty of the 2 mass start races (USSS Supertour, and ESG).
Athletes who have qualified and intend to participate at Junior Nationals need to confirm participation by registering and paying a trip deposit on or before Sunday February 11th.
Junior National Team Trip Deposit
Athletes who did not qualify for Junior Nationals or choose not to participate in Junior Nationals but are listed on the points list have the option to participate in the EHSC ( grades 9-12 ) and or NENSA U16 championships. It is our intention to have coaching and wax support at U16's and EHSC. Please check www.midaxc.com for updates on these trips.

The decision was made due to athletes not having USSA points or Mid-A points carrying over from the 2020-21 racing season due to the lack of races. ( the standard point qualification prior to this season for U18/20 men and women was 300 and U16 men and women 350 ) Athletes who have qualified for the team are highlighted in GREEN. I did my best to substitute points for athletes that needed them to qualify.
